How We Create and Maintain NCLEX Practice Questions
Our commitment to accuracy, evidence-based content, and continuous improvement
Our commitment to accuracy, evidence-based content, and continuous improvement
Every question at Nurse Plus Academy goes through a rigorous multi-layer review process before reaching our students.
Quality content is what sets Nurse Plus Academy apart from other online NCLEX preparation resources. Superior exam materials take time to research, write, review, and refine.
Our goal is simple: help nursing students pass the NCLEX on their first attempt by providing practice questions that accurately reflect the real exam in both content and difficulty.
Many of our foundational practice questions were developed with guidance from Winona Suzanne Ball, RN, MHS -- our Founding Nursing Adviser. Suzanne brought more than 30 years of clinical nursing experience and helped establish the standards we use to evaluate question accuracy, clinical relevance, and educational value.
Her work included reviewing the official NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN test plans published by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) to identify topics most likely to appear on the exam. Today, our editorial team continues to review and update the question bank against current NCSBN plans and authoritative nursing sources.
Each question is designed to:
Our content is based on authoritative nursing and medical sources:
We actively incorporate feedback from our users to improve question quality.
Every practice question includes a “Found a mistake?” link that allows students to report potential errors or unclear wording. Our editorial team reviews each submission and:
This feedback loop has helped us identify and correct hundreds of issues, making our question bank more accurate with each update.
Nursing knowledge evolves, and so does our content. We update our practice questions when:
All updates go through the same multi-layer review process as new content to ensure accuracy.
With the introduction of Next Generation NCLEX (NGN) in 2023, we have expanded our question types to include:
These question types are designed to assess clinical judgment using the NCSBN Clinical Judgment Measurement Model (NCJMM).
We welcome feedback from nursing educators, students, and healthcare professionals. If you have questions about our editorial process or notice an issue with any question, please reach out.
