Who may give informed consent?

1. 18-years-old and above; 2. Mentally competent; 3. Alert and oriented. Conscious and unsedated; 4. Under age 18 if living as an emancipated minor, able to exercise adult rights in the state (pregnant, married, military service, living independently, or with a high school diploma)
